Column-Pure Blood Genomic DNA Kit
Specifications
SKU | D203-Mini-1 |
Name | Column-Pure Blood Genomic DNA Kit |
Unit | 50 Preparations |
Description |
This is a quick and easy spin column method for the isolation of genomic DNA from blood. No phenol, chloroform, or other hazardous organic solutions are required. Proteins are degraded by Proteinase K, DNA is bound to the filter in the spin column, impurities are washed away, and the purified DNA is eluted from the binding matrix of the column. The isolated DNA is of excellent quality for PCR, restriction digestion, and other downstream applications. The kit contains all necessary tubes for the complete experiment in isolation of genomic DNA.

Key Features
|
Applications |
Purification of up to 10 µg genomic DNA from blood samples. |
Storage Condition |
All components (except Proteinase K) can be stored at room temperature. Proteinase K should be kept at 4ºC for short-term or -20ºC for long-term storage. Kit components are stable for12 months at room temperature after received. For maximum stability, store all contents at 4ºC. |

FAQs
Can the end result for qPCR genotyping applications?
It should be good for qPCR genotyping applications but we recommend the end user to try the kit on a smaller, less precious sample first before a massive experiment.
|
What is the average final DNA yield?
The yield is dependent on the initial sample size, varying from 3ug -15ug. The column has 20ug capacity, more than that is needed for PCR.
