Co-op & Intern Perks
Gain practical experience to launch your career

At abm, we treat our co-ops and interns as important members of our team. That’s why we strive to provide the proper resources and experiences to support your career and professional development.

After receiving thorough training on important lab and research skills, you will have the chance to put those skills into practice by designing experiments and completing lab work. You will also have the unique opportunity to experience the business side of the biotech industry by being an active contributor to abm's business development activities. These activities include performing market studies, commercializing products, negotiating contracts, updating and maintaining website content, licensing new technologies, and much more. Your individual contributions will be invaluable towards bringing an idea from the whiteboard all the way to market. Not only will high performance during your co-op term be recognized and rewarded, it can also help launch your career in biotech with many of our past top performers being offered the opportunity to return to a full time position upon graduation.

Learn alongside your peers & industry professionals

Transitioning from school to the workplace is very exciting, but it can also be nerve-wracking. At abm, you don’t have to worry about making the switch alone.

Recognized for providing an exceptional co-op work experience by the UBC Science Co-op Program in 2017, we welcome you in joining our inclusive community of other co-ops and interns as you work alongside scientists and lab technicians. Learn from the experiences of your supervisor and fellow co-workers, and build your own network of like-minded peers and industry professionals.
